Redwood x Agent Ziva Yearling Filly
SAVVY RACING
Savvy Racing is proud to present this Redwood x Agent Ziva yearling Filly in association with Ballymore Stables. The filly will be based in Matamata and trained by Mike Moroney and Pam Gerard.
This Filly was purchased from the New Zealand Bloodstock Yearling Sale on the 29th of January 2019.
Ballymore Stables offers a thrilling proposition to be involved in one of Australasia’s leading racehorse stables and to race exciting prospects to target classic races such as the Derby, the Oaks and the 1000 and 2000 Guineas.
Our aim is to identify and select yearlings that will be prepared and targeted towards those classic 3 year old races. We are particularly confident that we have selected the right individuals to be serious contenders, whilst our previous results on the track only reflect this.
Sire, Group One winning stallion Redwood (High Chaparral) made an immediate impact with his three-year-olds Night’s Watch and Romancer, a Group Three and Stakes winner respectively, each proving themselves above average and has sired 31 individual winners.
The second foal from a young mare by four time Champion sire Savabeel (Zabeel), Agent Ziva won five races from 1150m – 1230m, and grand-dam Bemuze (Centro) left four individual winners of 16 races including Regency Dragon (D’Cash) a winner of six in Hong Kong.
“She has a lot of Savabeel about her and looks like she’ll make into a lovely three-year-old,” said Mike Moroney.
“She’s a really nice filly, with a great head, very correct, and we thought she was very good value at the price.
Savvy Racing’s Keith McDonald commented “We have always wanted Savabeel Bloodlines in our racing team and we believe this filly has a big racing future”. She has a lovely walk and is similar in appearance to Savabeel.
